Review Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Who Can Leave a Review

Only users who have completed a purchase of a course can leave a review for that course. This ensures all reviews reflect genuine learning experiences. Reviews from unverified users are not accepted.

Reviews are marked with a Verified Purchase badge to make this clear to other students.

2. What Makes a Good Review

We encourage honest, constructive feedback. A helpful review:

  • Is based on your actual experience with the course;
  • Describes what you liked or what could be improved;
  • Is written in a respectful and constructive tone;
  • Focuses on the course content, quality, and value.

3. Prohibited Content in Reviews

The following is not allowed in reviews:

  • Hate speech or discrimination — content that attacks or demeans individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
  • Threats or harassment — any language that threatens, intimidates, or harasses the creator or other users;
  • Personal information — sharing private information about the creator or other individuals (names, contact details, addresses, etc.);
  • Spam or promotional content — reviews that advertise other products, services, or websites;
  • Fake or manipulated reviews — reviews that are not based on a genuine purchase or experience, or that are part of a coordinated effort to inflate or damage a course’s rating;
  • Defamatory statements — false statements of fact presented as true that damage the reputation of the creator or others;
  • Irrelevant content — reviews that are unrelated to the course itself (e.g., complaints about payment processing or delivery issues unrelated to course quality).

4. Editing Your Review

You can edit your review at any time from within the course player. Editing a review updates your rating and comment while preserving the original submission date. We encourage you to update your review if your opinion changes after completing more of the course.

5. Refunds and Reviews

Requesting or receiving a refund does not automatically remove your review. We believe honest feedback — including from students who requested a refund — is valuable to the community. However, reviews that exist solely to pressure a creator into issuing a refund may be removed.

6. Refund Eligibility and the 30% Rule

Self-service refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 30% of the course. Progress is calculated based on the duration-weighted completion of all modules in the course — including optional assignments. Completing optional content counts toward your progress percentage for refund eligibility purposes.

Once you have completed 30% or more of the course (across all modules, mandatory and optional), self-service refunds are no longer available. You can still contact us at support@cursello.com if you have exceptional circumstances.

7. Moderation

Cursello moderates reviews to ensure they comply with this policy. Reviews may have one of the following statuses:

  • Published — the review is visible to everyone;
  • Flagged — the review has been reported and is under moderator review; it remains visible until a decision is made;
  • Removed — the review has been removed by our moderation team for violating this policy; it is no longer visible.

Moderation decisions are made by Cursello staff and are final. Creators cannot remove or hide reviews themselves.

8. Reporting a Review

If you see a review that you believe violates this policy, you can report it using the flag icon on the review. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We do not share the identity of the person who submitted a report.

9. Creator Rights

Creators can see all reviews for their courses in their Creator Studio. Creators cannot:

  • Delete or hide reviews;
  • Edit the content of a student’s review;
  • Retaliate against students for leaving honest reviews.

If you believe a review violates this policy, please use the reporting mechanism or contact us directly.

10. Platform Rights

Cursello reserves the right to remove any review that violates this policy, without prior notice. We may also remove reviews in response to valid legal requests. We are not obligated to explain individual moderation decisions.
