Sales & Refund Terms

1. Introduction
These Sales & Refund Terms govern all purchases made on the Courses platform (“Platform”), operated by Courses (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By completing a purchase on the Platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Digital Products
All courses sold on the Platform are digital products. Upon completing a purchase, you receive immediate access to the course content. Because digital content is delivered instantly and can be consumed immediately, special conditions apply to refunds as described in Section 4.
Courses may include video lessons, written content, quizzes, exams, assignments, and downloadable resources. The exact content of each course is described on the course page before purchase.
3. Delivery of Digital Products
All products sold on the Platform are digital courses. This section explains how delivery works.
3.1 Delivery Method
After successful payment, you receive immediate access to the course content through your Cursello account. There is no physical shipment. You can watch your purchased courses in the built-in course player by navigating to Account → My Purchases and selecting the course.
3.2 Delivery Time
Access is granted instantly upon successful payment confirmation. In rare cases (e.g., payment verification delays by your bank), access may take up to a few minutes.
3.3 Technical Requirements
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — latest two major versions).
- A stable internet connection for streaming video content.
- An active Cursello account (created during or before purchase).
No additional software installation is required. Course content is streamed directly in your browser.
3.4 Delivery Issues
If you do not see the course in your account after payment:
- Check your email (including spam/junk folder) for the payment confirmation.
- Ensure you are logged in with the same account used during checkout.
- Wait a few minutes and refresh the page — in rare cases, payment processing may take a moment.
- If the issue persists, contact us at support@cursello.com with your order confirmation or payment reference.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on the Platform are in the currency shown at checkout. Prices may include applicable taxes (such as VAT) where required by law.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
- Your purchase is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.
- Coupon codes and discounts are applied at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively after a purchase is completed.
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
5. Refund Policy — 14-Day Window

We offer a 14-day refund window on course purchases, subject to the conditions below. This policy exists to give you confidence in your purchase while protecting creators from abuse.
5.1 Eligibility Conditions
To be eligible for a refund, all of the following conditions must be met:
- The refund request is made within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date.
- Your progress in the course is less than 30% at the time of the refund request.
If either condition is not met, a refund will not be granted.
5.2 How Progress Is Calculated
Progress is calculated based on the modules you have interacted with. Importantly:
- Playing a video — even for a brief moment — counts as progress for that module. The system records the last-played timestamp. If you skip ahead or play the final seconds of a video, that module is counted as viewed.
- Progress is calculated as the number of modules interacted with divided by the total number of modules in the course.
- Progress is tracked automatically and cannot be manually reset.
This means that if you play through a significant portion of a course and then request a refund, your progress percentage will reflect your actual engagement with the content.
5.3 Abuse of the Refund Policy
The 14-day refund window is intended for genuine cases where a course does not meet your expectations. We actively monitor for patterns of refund abuse, including but not limited to:
- Repeatedly purchasing and refunding the same or similar courses;
- Purchasing multiple courses and refunding them after consuming the content;
- Any pattern that suggests the refund policy is being used to access course content for free.
We reserve the right to deny refund requests and/or suspend or terminate accounts that show patterns of refund abuse. In cases of repeated abuse, we may permanently revoke access to the refund feature.
5.4 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Log in to your account at cursello.com.
- Click “Support” in the sidebar.
- Select “I want to request a refund”.
- Select the course you want to refund.
- Confirm your request.
If your course progress is under 30% and the request is within 14 days of purchase, the refund is approved automatically. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and are typically 5–10 business days.
If you are unsatisfied with a course but do not meet the automatic refund criteria, you can contact the course creator directly via the messaging feature on the course page to discuss a resolution.
5.5 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be granted in the following situations:
- More than 14 days have passed since the purchase date;
- Your course progress is 30% or more;
- The refund request is part of a pattern of abuse;
- The course was purchased using a coupon or promotional code that explicitly excluded refunds (if stated at the time of purchase).
6. Platform Relationship & Creator Responsibility
Cursello is a marketplace platform. Creators are the sellers of their courses. Cursello provides the platform, hosting, and payment infrastructure. Cursello does not create, own, or control the content of any course published by creators.
Each course on the Platform is created and sold by an independent creator. The creator is solely responsible for:
- The course content (accuracy, quality, and completeness);
- Course pricing;
- Customer support for their students;
- Refund decisions (outside the platform's automated 14-day window), unless otherwise required by applicable law;
- Ensuring that any techniques, products, or advice in the course are safe and appropriate;
- Applicable taxes in the creator's jurisdiction;
- The legality of the content in the creator’s jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of their students.
We are not responsible for the content, quality, or safety of individual courses. If you have concerns about a course’s content or quality, please contact us and we will investigate.
7. Email Sharing with Sellers
When you purchase a course, your email address may be shared with the course creator (seller). This is necessary for:
- Smooth order processing and fulfillment;
- Enabling the creator to provide course-related support and communications;
- Compliance with applicable legal and tax requirements.
Creators are required to handle your email address in accordance with applicable data protection laws and may not use it for unsolicited marketing without your consent. If you receive unwanted communications from a creator, please report it to us.
8. Access & Availability
Upon purchase, you receive ongoing access to the course content, subject to the following:
- Access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share your account or course access with others.
- If a creator removes their account, purchased courses remain accessible to students who have paid for them.
- We reserve the right to remove course content that violates our policies, in which case affected buyers will be notified and refunded where applicable.
- We do not guarantee perpetual availability of the Platform but will make reasonable efforts to maintain access.
9. Reporting Concerns
If you encounter content that you believe is unsafe, illegal, or violates our policies, please report it to us immediately at support@courses.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Sales & Refund Terms from time to time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
